The water resistance of the adhesive is determined by the "immersion method", the basic principle of which is: the standard sample of corrugated cardboard with the size of 20mm×150mm is immersed in water, the standard heavy weight is hung on the cardboard, and the direction of the force is perpendicular to the adhesive line, and the time required for the adhesive line to resist the heavy weight traction is measured. The longer the time, the better the water resistance. This method puts more emphasis on the performance of cardboard when it is soaked in water and subjected to a certain tensile force, tests whether the adhesive layer of cardboard still has tensile or compressive strength, and determines its tolerance under water conditions by the time the adhesive layer is pulled out.
